Student Withdrawals

When withdrawing from a class we ask that you provide us 14 days advance notice that you will be dropping the class. Please provide notice in person or in writing.

General Policies

Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes: In case of inclement weather classes may be delayed or cancelled. Cancelled classes will be made-up at the earliest possible date.
Call the Studio for a Message and/or check the Web site for announcements and alerts.

Substitutions: The studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the studio cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up.

Regular Attendance and Home Practice: Dedication and practice are the key to successfully learning a new skill. Please ensure and encourage students to attend lessons regularly and to stay for the full class.

Parent's Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all studio activities such as viewing days, revues, rehearsals, holidays, extra classes, etc. The studio will post all such notices on the bulletin board and website. It is the parent's responsibility to regularly check these boards to ensure they are informed. It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the studio of any address or contact information change.

Missed Classes: No credit is given for missed classes; classes may be made up within 30 days, with Approval.

Care of Students: The studio is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Students may arrive 10 minutes before class time & must wait in the waiting area with an adult. All students must be picked up promptly at class ending times. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive time before or after class.

Student’s only: Friends, parents or siblings are NOT allowed in the teaching room, Except on Designated Observation Days. Friends, parents and siblings are allowed to wait during class time in the designated waiting area. We ask that siblings be kept quiet and orderly as not to disrupt or distract the class.

Dance Class Etiquette

Arrive to Class On Time.

No chewing gum. No food or drinks, other than water, are allowed in the studio

Dance Dress Code: Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes.
Failure to wear required dancewear to could result in students being asked to sit out the class.
Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of lessons.
Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street or outdoors to any dance class.
Long hair must be tied back.
For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry.

Students must silence their cell phones during class. Parents, please take calls outside the studio.

Please keep Talking and Chatting to a minimum

Always give your Teacher your Full Attention

Never Openly Challenge or Talk back to your Teacher as this is disrespectful.

Always be Respectful to your fellow dancers by listening to their questions, helping each other, taking turns and being friendly.

Have a Good Attitude and be open minded. Learning is a process and some things will not come naturally, You must try to succeed.
